This morning, children from Years 3, 4 and 5 joined the regular Wednesday parish Mass. It was a new venture and a wonderful opportunity for our school community and parishioners to come together in prayer and worship.
We’re already in discussions with Father Ryan about making this a regular opportunity. After all, who wouldn’t want more opportunities to gather in such a beautiful Pugin gem? ⛪✨

Our children have a diverse range of gifts and talents and we are proud that our St Augustine’s extra curricular offer reflects that too. Tonight alone we had: ks1 art (some of who are pictured here with their clay pots featuring freshly picked flowers) choir, DF coaching football and year 5 football. Thank you to our Year Six children (not all pictured here) who joined the 10:30 parish mass this morning. Education Sunday was the perfect occasion for the Confirmation enrolment mass and some of the children were also able to help with the second collection, which was as in aid of the diocesan education service

🌸 Parish Flower Festival 🌸
This Saturday, the parish flower festival begins at St Francis Church and will be open throughout the week.
The festival celebrates the life and work of St Francis and our school has focused on the lesser-known fact that St Francis is attributed with creating the first crib.
We are so proud of our display and all the wonderful work created by our children. A very special shout-out to Ms Kalisz, who spent several hours bringing all of the children’s work together to create our beautiful display. ❤️

At the end of this morning’s celebration of the word, our Year Six children shared their manifestos for head pupil. After hearing 10 carefully crafted speeches, full of inspirational and innovative leadership ideas, the children in years 1-6 cast their votes. Every single candidate spoke with poise, passion and confidence. We are SO proud of each one of them, but there can only be two winners. Watch this space for the announcement later this week
