During Lent Reception children having been thinking about spending time in prayer. They have considered the different types of prayer. This week they considered being thankful and said a ‘thank you’ prayer. They put on our special ‘thankfulness glasses’ and looked at what they could see to say thank you to God for.

Reception have enjoyed learning about the events of Holy Week this week. Today they thought about the last supper. They enjoyed having their feet washed and sharing the bread and ‘wine’. To remember this special event, each child created a footprint with paint and then had their foot washed.

Year 3 have been thoroughly enjoying their English work on The Tin Forest, using the text as inspiration to explore creativity across the curriculum. In Art, they have studied The Surprise by Henri Rousseau, linking beautifully to the themes and imagery within the story. The children then created their own collages, combining ideas from both pieces to produce some truly imaginative and detailed artwork. We definitely have some budding artists in Year 3!

Our Mini Vinnies have truly shown their faith in action this Lent! 🙏✨
Throughout Lent, the children worked incredibly hard to raise money by selling religious items, and we are so proud to share that they raised a fantastic £57.
Today, they used this money to buy essential items for Fatima House, a women’s shelter in Birmingham. This act of kindness and generosity is a wonderful example of living out our values and caring for others in need.
A true reflection of putting faith into action—well done, Mini Vinnies! 💛

After finishing in the top 10 at the Kingsley cross country race back in February, this Year 3 superstar was selected to race in the Warwickshire Primary Schools race in Nuneaton on 7th March. After finishing 3rd in this race he was selected to represent Warwickshire at the National Cross Country finals last weekend where he finished 26th and became part of the winning Warwickshire Y3 boys team. Such a huge achievement, well done 💙💛

Year 4 and Year 5 gave a beautiful performance of Three Little Trees, sharing a powerful message of hope with us all this Lent. 🌿✨
Their storytelling and reflections reminded us of the importance of faith, purpose and trusting in God’s plan. It was particularly poignant as we journey through the Year of St Francis, encouraging us to care for our world and recognise the hope and new life that surrounds us.
We are so proud of the children for their thoughtful and inspiring performance, which truly touched everyone who watched. 💚🙏
